Lust

The sin ‘Lust’ is usually thought of as excessive thoughts or desires of a sexual nature, or the excessive love of others.
This piece was created with a combination of imagery including Durex condom packets and black sheer material all overlaid on a Japanese sex doll esque portrait. All of these images are individually strongly linked with modern attitudes towards lust. Condoms are available at every shop and advertised openly, sultry materials are used in the mass manufacture of specifically designed garments and the invention of a whole new world of adult toys combine to give quite a stark impression of modern societies open comfortableness with its sexuality.
