Gluttony
This image represents the sin ‘Gluttony’.
The sin ‘Gluttony’ is described as the over indulgence and over consumption of anything to the point of waste.
This piece was formed using two images, one being a simple colour image of nestle smarties and the other being a portrait of the female lower profile including a full set of rhinestone clad lips. This combination is to symbolise how we value our right to a gluttonous lifestyle, being free to eat and consume pretty much whatever we want with relatively little limits other than our own conscience. Much like in the image ‘Envy’ I have focused on the particular body part that I see as being the most relevant to committing the sin, and as the sin is to over indulge in our eating habits, what better representation than an ornate and precious mouth.
